Iconic NYC in 30,000 Steps

My first day in New York began with an early morning stroll. From our hotel on 33rd St.

We started off with bird’s eye view of the city from a top one of the tallest buildings in the world , the Empire State building. What a view it was !

Moving on from the empire state , we checked out one of the first high-rises of New York , The flat iron building.

After a quick bit of shopping in Macy's , we carried on strolling through Midtown’s most popular spots including Rockefeller Centre, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Times Square, Bryant Park, ending at the beautiful Grand Central Terminal.

On our way back to the hotel we managed to take in the bright lights of Times Square at night. (Trust me, it’s like daytime.)

We finished off the day from a roof terrace bar on Fifth Avenue. It overlooks the Empire State Building and has patio heaters and blankets so you can still sit outside.

Canada's Capital

Ottawa is a beautiful city, and there’s no better way to see it than by renting a bike. Smooth, paved pathways wind throughout the city, and allow bikers to travel along miles and miles of serene canals.

From its museums, to the Rideau Canal, to Parliament Hill. This is the kind of city I love , one where I can just pick a direction and walk, and always find something interesting.

I was lucky enough to experience afternoon tea at Ottawa’s Fairmont Chateau Laurier hotel. It is an unique, intimate experience where you feel like you have stepped out of the real world, away from technology, into a world where you can spend quality time with friends and family.

Slovenia’s Must Do

Lake Bled is one of Slovenia’s most popular tourist attractions .

Set in the Julian Alps. A fairytale medieval castle with Romanesque tower, drawbridge and moat sits perched up high, overlooking a calm glistening lake . A small island home to a church and legends sits in the center of it all, while al fresco cafés and ambient paths create an enjoyable outline.

When is Bled , make sure you check out the iconic viewpoint: Ojstrica, .The hike is short but not easy; however, the aerial view of the entire Lake Bled landscape and surrounds is well worth it. Perfect spot to watch sunrise.

Another must is the Bled Cream Cake – or kremšnita, as it is known locally ,  is a layer of cream and a layer of vanilla custard sandwiched between puff pastry, and dusted with icing sugar. Perfect way for you afternoon walk around the lake.
